Learn More About Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)
At Spring Mist Med Spa, we use award-winning devices that create even coverage on the treatment area. This helps to absorb creams and serums with active ingredients more effectively deep into the skin. The treatment involves gently pressing the device tip into to the skin and gliding it over the treatment area. A topical numbing cream is used to minimize the discomfort.
Microdermabrasion can be applied on most areas of the body such as the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, abdomen, legs and back. Overall, the treatment takes about 15-30 minutes. The treatment may cause some redness to the skin which takes 1 to 4 days to heal.
Applying the recommended topical serum after the treatment helps with this healing process. Results can be seen immediately and continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatments.
Our aestheticians examine your skin to determine the optimal number of treatments, however it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments about 6-8 weeks apart.
For more serious conditions, we recommend 6-8 sessions at 6-week intervals.
